Jack walked for a few minutes and decided riding
in the truck with G.G. was a better deal.
Little Miss Fourth of July walked the whole
parade route.
I passed out candy and cards from the back of
the truck and made sure none of the kids jumped
off!
Wow...it has been quite a while since I have posted, but our life has been so crazy. We have been in the process of moving and it has been considerably more effort than it was in the past. We just moved around the corner to my mom's house and rented out our house for awhile until economic times improve and my mom can find a job. We are sad to leave our home, but we know it is only temporary and it is a good situation for everyone. The hardest part has been leaving our dear next door neighbors. We have been blessed with the most amazing neighbors. They have 2 daughters that our the same ages as Abigail and Jack. The four kids have been close since they were itty bitty and the kids are all having a hard time with the idea of not jumping over each other's fences to play. I will personally miss my fence chats with Tricia. Thank goodness we are still close by.
Now, to backtrack to some pics that I haven't posted. Our kids LOVE the Fourth of July. It is a really big deal in Monument and they look forward to it every year. Our little town does a parade and a street fair and Abigail's school hold a big pancake breakfast before the parade. Later, we head to my mom's for dinner and watch fireworks off her deck at the Air Force Academy. This year, we decided to enter JBF in the parade. We decorated my partner's truck and all the kids rode in the truck and passed out candy. They had a ball! We went home for naps and headed to our friends' house (The Leahy's) for a little Red, White and Bluau...super cute! After, we headed to my mom's and roasted marshmallows and watched the fireworks. We were amazed that the kids actually stayed awake for them this year. All in all, it was a great day!
