The kids had their sibling class at the hospital last night. They loved it! The class was geared toward 5-10 year olds and there was about 15 kids in the class. They had to bring a doll or a stuffed animal with them. They learned how to diaper and swaddle the baby. Jack wasn't sure about this. He certainly NEVER signed up to be on diaper duty!
An OB nurse taught the class and read them a story and showed them a movie all about a new baby coming and being a big brother/sister. She answered all of their questions and then, their favorite part, was the hospital tour. She let them see the nursery...even though there were no babies :( Jack didn't understand why we couldn't go into a room to see a baby. They went into a labor and delivery room and saw the cool bed that goes up and down. They saw a baby warmer and they were all fascinated with the bathroom because it had a shower.
When the class was over, they all got big brother/big sister tshirts and those were a big hit! The sun is in Jack's eyes so he has a crazy face but they love their new shirts!
